About the Movie:
Adam Mialczynski (Marek Kondrat) is tired of life. He is afraid to get out of bed and face the day. Fed up with his insensitive neighbors, underappreciation at work, spilling his morning cereal, not finding the love of his life, and his nagging mommy. Though he tries to ease his tortured soul by writing poetry, the loud construction outside draws out his creative juices. Even relaxing on vacation is a challenge. He's slightly paranoid and totally OCD...and unintentionally hilarious. Adam is an unhappy fellow, but the situational humor makes us laugh. "Wacko's Day" presents a specific flavor of funny, a flavor that's very Polish. One of the most popular comedies of the recent years.

Adaś to typowy życiowy nieudacznik, inteligent borykający się z problemami codziennej rutyny i niespełnienia marzeń -- jest klasycznym tragiczno-komediowym bohaterem filmów Koterskiego. About the Polish Library in Washington
The PolishLibrary is a circulating library serving the needs of the Polish community in Metropolitan Washington as well as Polish-Americans and others interested in Polish literature, culture, history, and present day Poland. We have a collection of over 7 thousand books on Polish subjects in Polish and English, and over 300 films on video and DVD. In our reading room we have available several Polish magazines and newspapers, such as Polityka, Tygodnik Powszechny, Wprost, Newsweek Polska, Przekrój, Twój Styl, Pani.
Visit us each Tuesday (7pm - 9:30pm), Thursday (12pm - 2pm), and Saturday (11am - 4pm, 2pm during summer months). If you cannot visit us during these hours, you can always renew your checked-out items by phone or drop them off in a box just outside the entrance to the library.
We are located at 1503 21st Street, NW (between P Street and Massachusetts Ave).
Please note that the entrance to the library is down the stairs to the left of the main building entrance.
